With Enhanced Sign-in Security enabled, external or peripheral biometric sensor operations will be blocked, regardless of whether they are secure-capable or not. WoT describes the ability for the fingerprint sensor to wake the system and login the user without requiring the user to touch the sensor twice.
This functionality will be blocked while Enhanced Sign-in Security is enabled, but will function normally on capable systems when Enhanced Sign-in Security is disabled.
If biometric authentication is not working, first check that VBS is running and that the secure component has started. Also check that the biometric isolation trust-lets are running. If either of these checks fail, the system may not meet the requirements for Enhanced Sign-in Security.

The software update point and related scenarios have always supported secure HTTP traffic with clients as well as the cloud management gateway. It uses a mechanism with the management point that's different from certificate- or token-based authentication. The following list summarizes some key functionality that's still HTTP. A management point configured for HTTP client connections. Set this option on the General tab of the management point role properties. A distribution point configured for HTTP client connections.
Set this option on the Communication tab of the distribution point role properties. Don't enable the option to Allow clients to connect anonymously.
The client requires this configuration for Azure AD device authentication. There are no OS version requirements, other than what the Configuration Manager client supports. In the Configuration Manager console, go to the Administration workspace, expand Site Configuration , and select the Sites node. Select the site and choose Properties in the ribbon. Switch to the Communication Security tab.
Wait up to 30 minutes for the management point to receive and configure the new certificate from the site.
