Also, why on earth would Garamond not be included in every version of Word, considering how basic the font is and how often it is used? Was that version ever installed on your laptop? I find that Garamond is on my desktop because it was installed with Hallmark Card Studio, and some version of it is probably included with other non-Microsoft programs.
I don't know why Microsoft no longer includes it with Office, but I suspect it has something to do with licensing issues.
