You get paid for putting in the hours, but you need to know people to sell to. They also constantly ask for your friends contact information to try and recruit them which is annoying and invasive.

You are a salesperson and do not make money unless you sell. If you live in a neighborhood where the neighbors cannot afford expensive knives, then you are unlikely to make sales. They did a good job of making me feel important so I didn't quit but I wasn't from a rich family so was often left to my own devices. You build contacts from recommendations which I was good at so I made it to management but it's a rat race. No stability. Poured over 10k I saved into opening an office and wound up homeless.

They then said I owed them for materials lost and paid themselves 17k and wrote it off on my taxes as payment. Blessed my parents helped me get back on my feet but it's been over 5 years and I'm just getting back great.

They have good workshops. It's not a bad gig to have as a temp. Don't give up on your dreams or invest into management. It's not worth it for the majority of people, it seems. Pros Large pay checks if you man make the sales.

Just okay. Sales Representative Former Employee - Mt. Laurel, NJ - December 3, I this is a good place to start is you want to dip you feet into what a sales environment is like, but is just wasn't for me.

The manager was super nice and very helpful, and the training was easy enough. But the pressure to sell became too much, especially when you're told at first you won't be going door-to-door or making cold calls, when you absolutely have to do that to keep up. But it did make me realize that sales is not my forte, and I appreciated that. Pros Flexible schedule, easy training, and friendly atmosphere.
